Galatians 5:2-6 Circumcision

Galatians 5:2-6 Circumcision PDF
“Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.” John:12:25

This is not a hard saying. The problem is that folks don’t want it to mean what it does. Therefore, it either gets ignored or a more pleasant interpretation is given.

Jesus talks here about  loving your secular life and as a result losing your eternal life.

Jesus also said this.

“And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:24

That is because the secular world is good to the rich. Life couldn’t be better. Who could hate a situation like that? Overall, it is a brutal system based on laws of dominance and subservience. How could a poor man appreciate that? The secular world works out to be part of the animal kingdom. Is the world brutal? Read about it and follow world events. Look at what human beings must do to survive.

Earlier, Solomon made a similar observation.

“So I congratulated the dead who are already dead more than the living who are still living. But better off than both of them is the one who has never existed, who has never seen the evil activity that is done under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 4:2

This is from the first line of the Book of Thomas.

“Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not
taste death. Thomas 1

Understanding is an essential ingredient to the process of salvation. That includes understanding that which is distasteful and what seems depressive.

Understand Jesus, in terms of what he said and did, on occasion, might make one depressed.  The depression soon disappears and peace sets in. Peace provides the fertile  ground in which one’s spiritual identity germinates. (born again)

The Letter Killeth

The Letter Killeth PDF

“Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.” 2 Corinthians 3:6

Think about the word chair, When the word chair is spoken, it brings up a different image in the mind of the person hearing it than it does in the mind of the one speaking. Chairs may be straight back, luxury, folding office etc. Language never delivers a totally accurate image from one person to another. The spirit has the capacity to do so between all who are awakened.

The written word becomes more inaccurate than the spoken work.

Notice that scriptures contain meanings that apply to situations in ordinary life as well as in a religious context. Who has not experienced a situation of having a thought that cannot be expressed in words? The idea is real. Being unable to express a thought to others with words or letters does not make it unreal or meaningless.

John 18:38 “What is Truth?” Pontius Pilate

John 18:38 “What is Truth?” Pontius Pilate PDF

“What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.,  John 18:38.

Leadership then, as exists in a bureaucratic setting where only political power means anything.

Pontius Pilate constituted leadership. Leadership at that time, as it is now and forever, was corrupt. Leadership by definition is always corrupt, simply because power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. This is natural law and natural law is never wrong. Disagree?

Truth was a foreign concept to pilot. The concept made no sense to him. Scriptures are terrific sources of natural law. In modern society, leaders have the same basic mindset as did Pontius Pilate. Most  are where they are because of personal ambition, not out of the pursuit of truth or goodness.

This interpretation  in no way diminishes or invalidates interpretations offered by others. It does stand as a contrast to the mindset of Jesus and the leadership of the time.

Natural Law New Testament Hard Sayings

Natural Law New Testament Hard Sayings
Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. John 25:25

This is one quote by Jesus which is deemed to be a hard saying. Who has ever heard it alluded to in a sermon at a Christian church?

In my fantasy free approach to understanding scriptures, I explain it as perhaps the most profound and meaningful verse in the New Testament. There is no controversy in it at all. The fact is, that it is so meaningful that folks can’t accept the meaning and explain it away in some other convenient manner.

Fantasy Free Ministries

First and foremost, There are no authorities on God. There are no authorities on the existence of God, yes or no? There are no authorities on their not being a God. . .

The role of Fantasy Free Ministries is to interpret and explain scriptures in ways that add meaning to existing understandings of these ancient writings. Christians understand the term “hard sayings of Jesus..” Question, are these sayings really hard to understand? Or, are the meanings  something other than what folks might want them to be? That is where Fantasy Free Ministries enters the picture.

Here is an example,

Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. John 12:25,

Even his disciples did not appreciate this one. It means exactly what was said.

Without understanding the true nature of the secular world, salvation is illusive. When one reaches the point where annihilation is a better outcome to living in the secular world again, salvation is at hand. Reason like this, and strangely peace sets in. Peace is like fertile  soil where a person’s spiritual identity germinates. Without personal peace, there is no true understanding. Without understanding, is there any salvation?

Scriptures are a great source of natural law. Find a situation in the modern world that has a parallel in the sculptures and bingo. The one in the secular world will have a similar outcome. This never changes. Human behavior is constant over time.

I am James Quillian. Where do I get the authority to make profound interpretations of what was written eons ago?   You have the same authority I have. The key is to accept the answer that is given. The New Testament was compiled years ago. The folks who put it together were not experts on God. There are no experts on God. So, who is it who holds himself out to be such an authority?

Find peace. Read the scriptures and it is obvious what they mean.

Adaptive behavior is that which contributes to the survival and well being of a species. Mal-adaptive behavior is just the opposite, Mal-adaptive behavior is what causes a species to go extinct. According to Jesus , anger and other negative emotions constitute sin. A person experiencing anger is harming himself. Is that not true? It is also written that the wages of sin are death. The wages of mal-adaptive behavior are also death. Sin and mal-adaptive behavior are one and the same. Sin is the descriptive term in used in religious circles. Mal-adaptive is the term used in secular discussions.
