John 18:38 “What is Truth?” Pontius Pilate PDF

“What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him.,  John 18:38.

Leadership then, as exists in a bureaucratic setting where only political power means anything.

Pontius Pilate constituted leadership. Leadership at that time, as it is now and forever, was corrupt. Leadership by definition is always corrupt, simply because power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. This is natural law and natural law is never wrong. Disagree?

Truth was a foreign concept to pilot. The concept made no sense to him. Scriptures are terrific sources of natural law. In modern society, leaders have the same basic mindset as did Pontius Pilate. Most  are where they are because of personal ambition, not out of the pursuit of truth or goodness.

This interpretation  in no way diminishes or invalidates interpretations offered by others. It does stand as a contrast to the mindset of Jesus and the leadership of the time.
